2. Forges

   

   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   There are three forges in this locality. The owners of them are Mr. Minogue, whose forge is situated on the road that leads down to the "New Line" and Mr. Con Hogan whose forge is situated on the New Line and Mr. James Lahiff's which is situated on a high mound overlooking the river Graney. Long ago there was a forge situated in the old Mill and a man by the name of Noonan was the owner. There was another situated down the Feakle Road whose owner was Mr. Minogue. There is also one in Tuamgraney where Mrs. O Brien's house in now situated. The ownew was Mr. Burke. The forge is the most hospitable house in the locality, there is
