There are not many forts in this locality. There was one situated on a farm now owned by James Flannery in Meenross. The former owner was a man called Ready, and during his life many ghosts were seen there. One night two men were on their "Cuaird" in a neighbour's house, and when returning, they saw a very tall woman who was dressed in white running in the direction of the fort. As they approached her she ran very fastly and disappeared into the fort. Another night three men were putting a beast into a house near the fort, and when closing the door one of them heard a voice inside saying "Open", "Open". Only one man heard the voice and the other two heard nothing.
One night a man saw a great number of men on horseback riding races on "Cnoch a' halla" hill in Drewsboro. There is a fort situated nearby in a field owned by a man named(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
