    The local fairs are held in Ballyhaunis County Mayo and Ballinlough County Roscommon and other adjacent towns but sometimes the jobbers perform their business in the country. Long ago there was a fair held in Granlahan but they do not continue these fairs now. There is a particular field in Ballyhaunis for the cattle fairs and the pig sheep and horse fair is held on the streets. In Ballinlough all the fairs are
    held on the streets. The old people in my district never remember of fairs held on hills near forts or cemetries. Toll is paid on sold cattle
