  1. Once there was a man from this village and he went to the town of Ballyhaunis. He happened to be delayed in the town until it was very late. It was a very wet night and there was a fog and he could not see the road. He had a donkey and cart with him. He took out his beads and began to pray. When he was praying two candles came on the donkeys ears and remained there until he came to his own house and then they disappeared.
