  1. The name of my townland is Kilgarvin. In the Irish language it is called Cill na nGruadhán which means Ruanes' Church.
Long ago there lived a family named Ruane quite close to the Cemetery which is about two miles South of the village of Bonniconlon.
It is said that the Ruanes were a very holy family and that they had a Church there.
