  1. There is a fort in Claigean.
    There was a man living in Barnagaun who had a cow that disappeared at times.
    One day when he began milking the cows in the cow-house she went out and he followed her.
    The cow went straight for the fort, and the man caught her tail and followed her all the way to the fort.
    The entrance to the fort was open, and the cow walked in.
    A number of small women began milking the cow, and the man began cursing, As soon as the cursing commenced the cow was driven out and never went afterwards.
