  1. Many tramps come to this place.
    They come mostly from Ballinrobe.
    They camp in Carrownisky.
    They make tin-cans and saucepans, and go around to the houses selling them.
    They buy horse-hair and old rags. Others beg for flour, tea, sugar and eggs. Súzán Donnelly was an old woman who used to go around telling fortunes, and remain for the night in some houses.
