- A man without learning and wearing good clothes is like a gold ring in a pigs nose but a man with learning and weaving bad clothes is highly respected where ever he goes.
- The people would make a churning twice a week in the summer, and once a week in the winter. The churns the people had were different to the churns we have nowadays. The were churns with a dash, and there was a hole in the (in) led of the churn for the dash to go through it. The churns were made by a local cooper. It would take them about a half an hour to make it. They were wide at each end and narrow in the middle.(continues on next page)
