  1. In the vicinity of the school there are three 'Lioses' in a direct line with one another and within a few fields of each other. One is in Moloney's field (D'Loughtane), the second is in Power's field and the third is in Flemings field. The 'Lios' in Power's field is still intact. It is said to be connected by an under-ground passage with Knockaneris Lios.
Two men are said to have gone into Moloney's 'Lios' while a funeral was passing. One of them fell asleep with his hand under his head. When he awoke the fingers on that hand were bent and always remained so. 'Siabhra όn Diabhal é' is how a neighbour described him. The son of the second man was born an idiot.
