    commonly known as the “Crowbar Brigade,” because they brought crowbars with them when they were evicting the tenants.
    The tenants had to salute the landlord when he met him. In of these cases a man called a “Moore”, who lived in Cavengarden about a hundred years ago met the landlord on the road one day and he forgot to salute him so the next day the crowbar brigade came round and evicted “Moore” and his family out of the farm. So that they were homeless only for their pitying friends gave them shelter. In later years a descendant of that landlord met the man, who he had thrown out on the roadside when he was only a very young child with his parents. The
