  2. One time a family in Bradley were building a new house. One evening when it was getting dark a woman came into the house and told the mother of the family – a Bessie McGarrigle, not to build the house any further. They paid no heed to her and built the house. When they had the house completed it fell. The people then believed that they had build the house one a “gentle place’ and that the fairies did not want them there.
