    People in olden times had no doctors. They cured all diseases and cold by charms or cures of their own. They cured many diseases by bleeding people.
    The cure for toothache was supposed to be a frog;- biting the frog with the pained tooth.
    The seventh son or daughter had a cure for the disease called evil.
    The child born after the father's death was known to cure some diseases in a horse.
    Some people have a cure for ringworm by writing their name round the spot.
    The sure for mumps was to lead a person three times around a well.
