    recognise these eggs from the eggs of the blackbird. Mostly the robin builds its nest in a clay ditch or grassy bank, and it lays about five eggs. Their colour is speckled and they are very small. The wren the smallest of all these birds builds its nest in a whin-bush. It lays from seven to fourteen white eggs.
    The starling is very much like the blackbird. It builds its nest on the thatch of a house but it is difficult to describe their nests as they are seldom seen.
    The magpie's nest is built high up on a tree top with sticks and mud. It lays four blue eggs.
    The crow like the magpie builds on a tree with sticks also. Five white eggs it usually lays.
    The wagtail is a lovely spotted bird. It builds its nest along a ditch. It
