    To see a blue blaze in the fire is also a sign of storm.

    This in Summer is an omen of good weather.
    Cob-webs in plenty is a sign of rain (Summer)
    Midges plentiful with a good sharp bite is a sure sign of rain (in Summer, of course)
    To meet a red haired woman in the morning is bad luck.
    To put on an article of clothing inside out is lucky
    To break a mirror is seven years bad luck
    If one breaks an article of delph one will break three article, (therefor one must be careful)
    A cock to crow before midnight is an omen that some one of the household will die soon
    If a person dies in the street of a town, three will die that is to say two others will follow soon
    If a person is ill (dangerously ) and the dogs of the street or townland to bark a deal. with sufficient cause it is a sign that death for this person is near
