  2. Marriages in the Old Times
    In the olden times the people had no lorries or trains or buses as we have now. The only vehicles they had were such as follows:- side-cars ad horse-back. In these times the people used to go to the girl's house on horse-back. The man that was to get married would carry the girl behind him on the horse. After the marriage they'd set a race, then who'sever horse would reach the house first would win. The people that were not asked to the wedding would dress up in straw. They are called the straw men. They'd go up to the house where the wedding is held. Then they'd get a
