  1. On every farm in my district potatoes are grown because they are of great value to the people for themselves and for there cattle and pigs. Some farmers set a half acre of potatoes others about a rood and big farmers set about an acre. Sometimes they are very good and sometimes very bad.
    When preparing for potatoes a suitable place is first selected. Then a long rope is got and it is placed at the bottom of the field. It is brought up straight to the top and then it is fastened to a piece of a
