    Care of feet. 7-6-'38
    My father told me that the people used not wear shoes until they would be about 18 or 19 years of age. Some people used not wear any shoes at all. There was a woman in Polnabrone and she never wore a shoe. Now-a-days the children wear shoes at the age of one year, but for a few months during the summer they do not wear any shoe.
    When the people washed their feet long ago they threw out the water themselves or they would say they would dream of fairies.
