  1. Long ago people used to go barefooted all the year round but now people only go barefooted in the Summer. Children go barefooted from they are six years until they are fourteen.
    Boots are not made locally but they are repaired locally. There is no shoe-makers in the district now. The farmers ware clog's in the Winter and in the Spring when they are ploughing. The people have light boot's and shoes for wearing to the town now but long ago they wore the same boot's as they wear everyday.
