  1. "Páirc na gCraobh" or the field of the branches is an immense tract of land in the town land of Ballyvrane, Miltown. It is covered with bushes and contains fifteen acres. It is said that long ago a very famous warrior died and was buried there. As was the custom long ago three stones were erected in honour of him. Each is called a "Gollán".
In the eastern side of the field there is a fort surrounded by a round ditch of stones and earth with whitethorn trees growing on top. It contains five or six underground rooms, each about the height of a man.
