  1. Local Roads
    Miltown is to be found on the main road from Dublin to Killarney. Some of the roads around here are very old while more are new.
    Glenellen Road is very old as it was used in the Penal times by the people who attended Mass which was then said in Killaclohane wood. A woolen mill was also situated near this road.
    Another old road is "Bleach Road". On the fields near it the linen was bleached when the mills were in Miltown.
    Farran Road, which is kept in bad repair is a very old road. It is said that it was there in the time of Kilcolman Abbey. The land near it was owned by the Monks. It was called
