- In olden times the people used to eat very rough food. They used to eat potatoes and milk and butter; oat-meal bread, indian meal bread, and boxty.
They used to get some tea at christmas but would not use it only on christmas night.
When going to America they used to bake the oat-meal bread for three days, and boil a hen and bring it with them. - The old people used to say that it was not lucky to swap horney cattle with(continues on next page)
