  1. A man named William Robert McCloghery lived in Carrick Coola. He was noted for his strength. On one occasion he lifted an anvil in one hand over his head. This anvil weighed two curts.
    There was once a man known as Pat Tonra famous for strength. It is said that he carried a bag of meal which weighed 20 stone on his back without once resting. This man lived in Dunally, Ballgawley.
    There was once a man known as Pat McNulty. One day after eating his dinner he went out and arose a hare. The hare turned three times but he caught him at last.
    My father told me this.
