  1. My Home District
The name of my home district id Portduff and my parish is Castleisland and my barony is Trughenachemy. Four families reside in this district making thirty persons in all. The O'Connor name is the most common in the district. All the houses are covered with slate. This townland got its name from a bog which was there in former times. All the houses in my townland are covered with slate. There is one old woman still in this townland. This woman knows Irish and can tell stories in English and Irish. This woman's name is Brigid Flynn, and her address is Portduff.
Houses were more numerous in former times but the ruins of many houses are there yet.
