“You brave sons ofErin and daughters so pleasing, ¶ With bright smiling features of every degree”
You brave sons of Erin, and daughters so pleasing,
With bright smiling features of every degree,
I'll sing you a few verses with the greatest of pleasure.
If you will have patience to listen to me.The thirty-two counties I have travelled round them,
And crossed o'er the channel for to take a full view,
But the scenery of Killarney is so brilliant and charming,
I have not yet witnessed in all I went through. There is Lord Kenmares mansion, exceedingly handsome,
Situated so charmingly upon the green hill,
The beautiful Cathedral standing beneath it,
I did not find its equal and go where you will. There are many fine building I have not yet mentioned,
But it is my intention to name them as well,
The county Asylum, where would you get finer,
The holy Friars chapel and the railway hotel. Then moving on southward, direct to the mountains,
Where everything beautiful is to be seen.(continues on next page)- Collector
