  1. Long ago a band of men went looking for gold, in Ardraw near a fort. They went there about ten o'clock and when they were coming near the gold, they saw some dogs coming towards them and they kept them from biting with pikes but after the band of men got afraid and ran away and ever since any person did not go looking for gold, in that place.
