When the cattle are being put to the station there are two men in every cross, they will not let the cattle pass unless the owners of them paid custom. The custom means that every man who sells cattle must pay sixpence for each animal to these men. This is done for the upkeep of the fair field. After the cattle have been put to the station the buyer brings the owner of the cattle to the bank and pays him for the cattle. When the man is paid for the cattle he gives luck to the buyer. The luck consists of sixpence or a shilling for each animal. Many people used to go from house to house long ago but they wait for the fair nowadays.- Faisnéiseoir
