  1. The name of the landlord in my district was Lord Clinton. This landlord or his family never settled down in the district. His native place was England. He was not looked upon as a very bad landlord. There were evictions carried out in this district. The evicted people went to their neighbours houses or some of them lived in tents which the people of the district built for them. When Cromwell conquered Ireland his soldiers got so many town lands that was what he gave them as their pay. The land was divided in farms under the guidance of the landlord. The parents of the children divided their lands between their children. On times of elections if the people did not vote as
