  1. The following story was told to me by my grandfather.

    Co. Clare
    There was a man, who usually stopped out late at night. On his way home he generally made a short cut through a grave yard.
    One night, he had a little too much drink taken, and a few of his friends thought they would play a trick on him. They knew there was a grave opened in the grave yard through which he would pass.
    One of them decided to go into the grave, and moan when the man was passing.
    This plan was carried out. The man on his way home, was approaching the grave, when he heard a voice say " Its very cold down here".
    He stopped to listen. When he heard the voice, he walked round and saw a shovel
