  1. Saint Patrick lived in Aughagower long ago and during that time he built a house for himself It was only a small house judging the ruins of it still. There is only part of the gable now standing. It was built with stones and mortar but the mortar is all gone now. The trace of the door is to be seen no animal or bird will go inside the foundation of the house excep a robin that is always flying round it
