- (continued from previous page)horses and carriages went away galloping amidst singing and playing music. All the old people say it was the place the fairies held their fairs.
- One time a man lived in a village near a fort. The fairies used to bring him away every night and beat him and they would not let him go until daybreak. He used to beg of them to let him go but it was no good. If he went near the fort the fairies would not allow him to pass. He was always afraid to go near the fort.
