Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are four Holy wells in this district. Saint Patricks Well is on the side of Croagh Patrick. It is said that Saint Patrick used this well during the period of forty days which he spent on the mountain. There is also an other well in a village called Bohea which is connected with Saint Patrick.
    Saint Brigids well is in Killgeever and people go there on the fifteenth of August to do stations. People always leave something at the well when leaving it.
    Saint Columcille's well is in Aughavale. There is a stone wall built around the well and there is a high tree overshadowing it. It is said that someone caught a fish in this well and when he was roasting it on a tongs it jumped out and into the well again, with the mark of the tongs on its back. Anybody who asks a request at this well will know it is granted if the fish comes up to the top of the water.
    People who suffer from pains or diseases of any kind rub the affected parts with the
