    After a few months they begin digging. The potatoes are dug with a spade, a plough and a potato-digger. Long ago the people used to dig the potatoes with grapes.
    When they are dug the big potatoes are picked first. Then they are put into a pit. When they are in the pit they are covered with rushes and clay. When the big ones are picked then they pick the small ones. The small ones are put into a pit for themselves.
    The potatoes are used for eating and some of them are given to the pigs. Some of the potatoes are sent to the Alcohol Factory and Alcohol is made from them. The stuff that is left is called stillage. It is given to the pigs. In Spring the potatoes
