   My grandmother who was Mrs Lucas who formerly lived at a place outside St Johnston called the Green.
   One day she started to churn and she churned all day and no butter came on the milk. At last she gave up hopes.
   Then a neighbour came in and said that the butter was sold long ago, but to go to the byre and change the door to the other side, for a spell was put on the milk, and the butter was able to be taken and sold.
   They did so and no more butter was missing.
