    People used not to wear boots until the age of twenty. At present children go barefooted in Summer, and wear boots in Winter. The water used for washing the feet is thrown out. It is said if the water for washing feet is left in the house at night the fairies will be dancing around it all night.
    Clogs were worn in the district in olden times, instead of boots. Clogs were made of boards and leather, the sole of it was made of a board and the upper part of it was made of leather. Clogs were bought in shops.
