   Away in the far west in his lonely shack
   An exile is dreaming of home;
   And there in sweet dreamland with old friends he's back
   In Erin's green Isle o'er the foam.
   He hears mother calling down by the boreen,
   As in those far off days of yore,
   And then as he sees his dear Irish colleen
   He murmers alanna, asthore.

   There's a bungalow over in Ireland
   Down by the old Shannon shore;
   A dear little nest for one I love best
   With roses entwined round the door;
   There is a thrush in the grove gaily singing;
   The scent of the hay newly mown;
   All waiting for thee, acushla machree;
   My colleen, sweet Mollie Malone.

   To Erin, dear land of the shamrock and green
   Away o'er the wild raging main;
