  1. There is a white-thorn bush on the road side at Carrowkennedy. There is relief work out there at the present time and the people are afraid to go near it or to cut it. There was a little woman seen there often. Mrs Cathrine Hallinan of Carramore was passing that bush after dusk and she heard a bean sidhe crying, but being a courageous woman she was not afraid passing the bush. There is a man out there called Pat Hallinan and one night when he was out in the stable he saw lights there at that bush and candles lighting all the way from that bush to Ned O'Malley's of Claddy.
