- (continued from previous page)(See Ó Dineen's Dict under mionnán) and is locally translated as "Mary of the River". As far as I can ascertain it was formerly a cromlech. Was this place Cutteen (Cuitín) formerly associated with cull of the "cat"?
- Mise : Are you going to put wet rushes under my pigs?
T.Ó Gormáin : And why not?
You could sleep on wet rushes yourself and not get cold. Our Lord always slept on rushes.
Mise : Where did you hear that?
T.Ó G : I couldn't tell you exactly from where I heard it first but I always heard it at the old people.
