My father saw a little man near his own
house many years ago. ... Yes, perhaps he was com-
ing from the fort or more likely going from [?] fort
to Kilbrides' Ring. My father saw him in the bóithrín
first. He was a very small little man with a red
[?] on his back. My father never lifted an eye off
him as he (sé sin) walked along beside the ditch. He kept
his eyes glued on the box until it turned into the red
