    - wife died __ Her remains were encased in a very beautiful and expensive Coffin amid great pomp and mourning display. A week went by, - On the day appointed for the funeral to take place, all the gentry of the two Counties, and all the tenants and work men on the estate assembled at the Castle __ and the Coffin was borne to the waiting Hearse at the Hall door, __ the hearse could not be moved- nor, could all the men and horses on the Demesne put even a 'Stir' on the hearse.
    Another week went by - then the OC __ Don journeyed to the Bishop's Residence to request the Bishop to intercede with the "Insulted Clergyman". The Bishop travelled to Castlerea immediately.
    After much persuasion from his Bishop the 'insulted Clergyman' waved his hand in the direction of the Castle - when the Bishop told the waiting men return to
