    Clogs are still worn by many people, but mostly in farm work; and those who still use them in rural districts have always some finer wear for going out to market, Mass and on such-like occasions.
    There are still a few local clog-makers, but the greater part of clogs, like boots and shoes are now machine-made, and consequently turned out cheaper than those hand-made.
    Foot coverings of untanned hide are still much worn in some countries, but very little, if any, in Ireland, except in the Arran
