    They make a long ridge the ways that when the potatoes are ripe they can see them.
    Some of the people out in the country, get a wooden plough, to revolve the clay around.
    Long ago the old people were every wise. They would sow their own potatoes and other necessary things they wanted. They had very long potato gardens in which to sow things in it.
    Some of the names of the potatoes are," the Champion, the Kerry Pinks, the Irish queen, Aran Chiefs, Hounders and the Ephicures.
    The name of the potato which is reconised in our district as the best one is the "Champion".
    There is more potatoes grown in our district than any other things. The people peel the skin of the potato and mash it up and make starch.
