  1. Long ago in Glenfarne there was a woman and a child. One day she went outside and when she came in the child was crying and anything she gave he child would not keep it from crying. When the woman would go out the child would stop crying and there was music heard around the house, and when she came in the child would start crying again. One day a man came in and he said if he had the child he would throw it behind the fire. The child disapeard at that moment. It was thought that the child was a fairy.
