  1. About twenty years ago there came a grate flood in Dooneil River. It rained all night and in the morning the rived [?] overflowed. The flood sept a wooden bridge off the river at Owen Mc Donagh's and brought it to the sea. It threw a stable in McDonagh's yard and scattered the sones all over his land. It went to Somerville's hen-house and drowned many hens. It also brought away a bridge from Somerville's.
