There is a fort in Calteraun and it is situated on the top of a hill and is very remarkable, and there is no one like it in the district. It is circular in shape and is located on a mans land by the name of Tighe. There is a man who's name is Andrew McDonagh who was mowing on the fort and about twelve o clock in the day a red haired woman appeared to him and told him "not to be cutting the shelter over her."
So he left the fort and mowed no more of the grass. It is also said that lights were often seen leaving it and going towards another fort it is also in Calteraun and is on the land of a man by the name of Patrick McDonagh. The old people say that dancing was often seen being done in those two forts and they also say that around outside the forts there used to be round rings bout the size of a millwheel and very green about the month of April and they thought, on that ring the fairies used to dance their reels during Winter and Spring(continues on next page)- Collector
