- (continued from previous page)at last he said, "Well, you're the best jumping bullock I ever saw."When my grandfather was a small boy his father bought a cow. He spent all the money he had and he had only the one cow. He took good care of the cow and fed her well. One night the fairies came to the wee window of the room in which he was sleeping and told him that the cow was choking in the byre and to get up quickly. He did so but was unable to get the chain that was round the cows neck opened. One wee fairy stepped up beside him and together they managed to loose it and so saved the cow's life.
