fell off the wall in our house a couple of years ago and two months later my uncle died.
Banshees are known to follow certain families and when they are heard crying by any member it is a sign of a death in the family. My Grandmother was coming home from a party one night. My grandfather was with her and on the way they passed through a lonely bog ; they both heard a banshee cry most piteously, when about half-way through. Next morning my Grannie got a wire to say her brother in Dublin had died suddenly.
When the corn is being sowed in the spring-time if a plot is missed right through the field old people believe it is the sign of a death in the family before the year is ended. Mr Nesbitt who lives near us missed a cast in his field two years ago and his wife died before the year was out.
