    scholar went to this castle seeking alms. The servants gave him soup in a can. When he was going out he met Eager Eliss who stood to talk to him. He had a cane in his hand and he stirred the soup to see was there any meat in it. After a short time they parted. When the poor scholar was going out in the entrance gate, he wrote on them with chalk.
    Eager the Neager thought himself great,
    Put his cane in my can to search for his meat,
    He asked me my name, I told him it was Doran,
    A cousin to Eager the nailer from Gowran.
