  1. The land league was started in Ireland by Michael Davitt in the year 1878. At that time the farmers of the country were not secure in their lands and many evictions took place. The one I am going to tell about is Blanchfields.
    At the time of the evictions of the lands in Ballyogan my Grandfather often related one incident occurred during that time. The landlord and his agent had an office at a hotel here in Graig. They refused to take the rent from some of the tenants. One of the latter named Blanchfield, a grandfather to the present Mr. Blanchfield, Ballyogan walked
