  1. Few of the old pistreogas are remembered as the people consider some of them sinful.
    If a straw is place on the hole by the person who lost something and the dog brought along to the field or read where the article was lest it is sure to be found.

    The following are signs of a visitor to a house; -

    If the kettle leaps on the fire (stranger)
    If a hen brings in a straw on her tail (stranger)
    Some people can 'read pictures' in the fire and can see in the burning coals the outlines of people, dogs, horses, etc.
    A cure for toothache was to drink water from a human skull taken from a graveyard. - Clay taken from a graveyard was also a cure for toothache. (People did drink from human skull and got cured). If a dead hand is taken from a graveyard and used to remove the butter from the churn, the person who does this horrible thing can 'take' all the neighbours butter.
