    Water cress grows in running water and is boiled and eaten. It may also be used in a salad.
    Chicken weed is pounded and heated and used to reduce swelings.
    Stanlus has broad leaves like lettuce and is used to reduce swellings.
    Bozins has leaves smaller and more pointed than stanlus and is used to reduce swellings.
    Dockens The white skum in the heart of a young docken will stop bleeding. This is called 'sgenás' and it is placed on the cut. The sap is very clear.
    Galic is given to cattle which suffer from pains. It is also a cure for severe colds.
